Who doesn’t enjoy hearing from a loved one from time to time? Simple gestures like sending a letter send a strong message of love to anyone who receives them. But to an inmate that is cut off from their family, these small gestures become all the more impactful.

The isolation a prisoner feels can be one of the most painful aspects of serving a sentence. That sense of isolation only intensifies when that inmate is unable to connect with those they care about on the outside.
