Contrary to popular belief, not all prison life involves passively waiting out your sentence in a cell. Instead, prison can be a place in which human ingenuity continues to thrive, despite unfavorable conditions. For a lot of inmates, prison time means a great opportunity to perfect their skills – or even develop a new one.

When an inmate enters prison, the skills they developed throughout their lives do not disappear immediately. In many cases, inmates can put those skills to good use. While you may need to be a bit creative in doing so, sharing skills with other inmates will help pass the time, build relationships, and maybe even earn you some cash.
