#8: (Not) Drinking Your Problems Away
Most of these posts so far have been cute, silly ones about things that people misunderstood as children and only made sense of once they were adults, but this one is a little different. And it’s a little bit of a feel-good story—someone who realized their path was doing them more harm than good and managed to get off it.

Personally, I don’t drink, but I’ve heard enough from people that do to know that some people turn to it to make their problems go away, and it really doesn’t work. As one person said, “If you get drunk to make your problems go away, when you sober up, you’ll be hungover and poorer and your problems will still be there.”
