#7: What a Walnut

When I was a kid, my grandparents had a walnut tree in their backyard. We would pick them up off the ground, take off the outer covering, and eat them. So I have a lot of experience with walnuts, and as someone with a lot of experience with walnuts, I can tell you that they would make a terrible building material.

Have you ever cracked open a walnut before? They have surprisingly hard shells. I can’t even imagine how hard it would be to grind them up and turn them into something you could make a smooth chair out of. Obviously, not everyone knows so much about walnuts, and why would they?
