#40: Potter Puns

The wizarding world of Harry Potter is full of fun little Easter eggs and details that reward the close reader with surprising little realizations. This particular surprise really surprised this person, who had read the books years before but somehow had never made the connection between “Knockturn Alley” and “Nocturnally.”

Really, if you think about it, “Knockturn Alley” makes a lot more sense than “Diagon Alley.” I mean, Knockturn Alley Is a spooky place full of dark magic and dark wizards and dark, creepy shops. It’s a nocturnal sort of place. But what about Diagon Alley is diagonal?
