#36: Mr. Lonely

Here’s another misheard phrase with hilarious results. If you think about it, though, the wrong version really works well. If you are an only child, you might be lonely as well, especially when you are at home and there is no one your age to play with. I think we should all start seeing it this way.

I’m also imagining this person saying this to a trusted adult, who, very worried and trying to be helpful, goes to the poster’s parents to tell them that little Sally is telling everyone about how lonely she is. I wonder what happened after she informed her friend’s mother that she was lonely.
