#30: Light Legalities

Okay, writer of our next post, did we have the same mom? Because my mom told me the same thing, and I believed it for a long time. Even now, when someone turns on an interior light, especially when it’s dark out, I have this instinctive reaction of “You can’t do that!”

It was a great disappointment to me when I was a kid, because we were constantly making the 90-minute round trip to visit my grandparents, and I was a nerdy little bookworm who wanted to spend all of that driving time reading. But of course, that wasn’t possible if we were driving at night. Now, as an adult, I get it. If a little kid tried to turn on an interior light while I was driving in the dark, I would probably lie to them too.
