#42: Honesty Is Usually the Best Policy…

I’m a huge believer in the truth above all else. There are very few acceptable reasons to lie. This was one of those times where an “I don’t remember” was the only proper answer. Even an “I’m not sure” would have been better than spitting out that she’d gone clubbing the very next day.

Still, she didn’t need the reparations she was after, so I guess it all worked out in the end. That lawyer was probably internally facepalming so hard after that statement, though. I think being a lawyer is super frustrating at times. Certain clients must be close to impossible to work with!
