#15: Always Do Your Homework

The lawyer learned this lesson the hard way. Like they said, “never ask a question to which you don’t know the answer” while you’re in court. You don’t want any surprises! Of course, the stolen canned goods being used for trading for substances is a bit far-fetched, but apparently, it’s a thing with frozen chicken, so…

It’s not surprising the defendant lost. I’m sure it wasn’t because of that one line, but he stole the cans and didn’t even try to refute it. That’s theft and illegal, regardless of what the intended use of those cans was. I still think their purpose was irrelevant, but maybe that’s just me.
