5 Second Rule
Sure, it’s tempting to think your food is safe if it’s been on the ground for less than 5 seconds, but is this rule really accurate? According to recent studies, bacteria can instantly transfer onto food after it hits the ground, even if it’s only for just a split second.

But let’s be real; sometimes, you have to take a chance and eat that fallen French fry. Life is too short to waste perfectly good food, and you might even build up a little extra immunity to germs. Just don’t blame me if you end up with a case of food poisoning.
