Color Movies
The world suddenly went from black and white to Technicolor when color movies became popular. The first commercially successful color movie was released in 1939, meaning that before that, people were watching movies in shades of gray. It must’ve been so dull for them to watch movies without any color.

However, movies in color did lead to some seriously questionable fashion choices that seemed like a good idea at the time. Just ask anyone who lived through the 80s – those neon spandex leggings are forever burned into their retinas. Just think about that the next time you watch a movie in full color.
