Ever questioned why Mario – beloved video game character – looks the way he does? No? Well, we’re about to enlighten you anyway! Mario evidently only has overalls to make it easier to distinguish his arms from his torso. The same goes for his hat and mustache – those are to hide his hair and mouth.

Yes, some of the newer incarnations of Mario allow you to see a little bit more of the legendary character’s appearance. But still, it’s very interesting to learn about the origin of Mario – which has been the most popular video game around since the 80s – when it comes to his appearance.
