#2: Bird Parliament

Love owls? See owls? Don’t care for owls? Regardless of where you stand on owls, here’s another useless fact for you! Did you know that a group of owls is called a parliament? To me, this makes perfect sense, because owls definitely look like the wisest animal around. They’re classy, they’re all-knowing. So, using a very classy word like parliament to group them together just makes so much sense to me.

I’m not the only one who thinks they’re wise creatures, either! Throughout history and in many cultures, owls have been considered to be wise and intelligent animals. In fact, in Greek mythology, owls were often the symbol for the goddess Athena – the goddess of wisdom (among other things).
