#13: T. Rex and Us

Here’s another time-related random fact to mess with your brain! T. Rex – you know, one of the biggest and baddest dinosaurs to ever live – is closer to our timeframe than to Stegosaurus. Stegosaurus, also a dinosaur species, lived in the Late Jurassic time period and only lived about 155 to 150 million years ago.

T. Rex dinosaurs (or to use their full name, Tyrannosaurus Rex), meanwhile, lived in a completely different time period – about 83.6 to 66 million years ago. Therefore, if T. Rex’s lived 66 million years ago, they would be closer to our time period today than to the time when stegosauruses lived. Which is beyond freaky.
