That’s a lot of ruined carpets and ruined basement parties. But, despite the costs, floods also bring people together weirdly.

Have you ever tried to sandbag a riverbank with a group of strangers? It’s a true bonding experience, but with mud and misery. In all seriousness, floods can devastate communities and have long-lasting impacts on people’s lives. So, it’s important to be prepared and to take floods seriously. You never know when they’ll happen.
