#61: The Afterlife

Did you know that about 70% of Americans believe in an afterlife? That’s right. Apparently, there are a lot of people out there who are banking on an eternal reward or punishment. And apparently, the most popular afterlife destination is heaven, which is a huge relief for someone like me.

I was really hoping to avoid an eternity of elevator music and bureaucracy! But hey, who knows? Maybe in the afterlife, everything is made of chocolate and puppies. Or maybe it’s just a never-ending Zoom meeting. Either way, it’s comforting to think there’s something beyond this mortal coil. Or maybe it’s just comforting to think about chocolate and puppies.
