On average, most New Yorkers spend around 47 hours per week at work. And suppose you think about it, with a population of over 8 million people in the city. In that case, that’s a mind-boggling number of hours logged at desks across the city. In fact, most New Yorkers take just 12 vacation days per year.

This is the lowest of any major city in the U.S. – talk about dedication! But, on the bright side, all that hard work pays off – the average salary for an office worker in New York City is over $70,000, which is significantly higher than the national average. They also appear to be reincarnated, as well!
