#9: “Wilson!”

I don’t know about you, but I wondered where this dirt road was since I saw Cast Away as a kid. It turns out it’s located in Canadian, Texas (thanks, Reddit!), but the exact location isn’t listed on Paul’s website like the rest of these films. Fun tidbit no one will care about:

My mom loved this movie so much and got so frustrated with her printer one day that she wrote “WILSON” on it in sharpie when it died. As for filming, it had to be stopped for an entire year between “healthy” Tom Hanks and “castaway” Tom Hanks so he could lose the weight and grow his hair out. That’s true dedication.
