#6: “Everybody relax! I’m here!”
When John Carpenter releases a film and makes the soundtrack, you know it’s going to be good. Big Trouble in Little China nominated Carpenter for an award for Best Music at the Saturn Academy of Science Fiction. As for the set, prepare to have your mind blown. It was shot in Los Angeles, California.

Those curbs you see? The windows? They’re all fake! Take a closer look, and you’ll see where the on-location set team made it all look more run-down than it actually was. That’s right. They put false facades on top of real concrete to give it that feel and covered everything in a dusty layer. As for the “now,” major props to the artist of that mural. It’s amazing!
