#4: “Ma’am, I’m eight years old. You think I would be here alone?”
Was there ever a more fitting terror of an eight-year-old than Macaulay Culkin? I used to stay up late at night, emulating the traps he set throughout the house. Granted, mine weren’t quite as sophisticated, but I sure tried. The 1990 film Home Alone is what American childhoods were made of for millennials.

The McCallister home still stands today at 671 Lincoln Ave, Winnetka, Illinois. The fence is an obvious addition, a sun sure many fans of the film have tried to walk up and knock on the front door for a look around. You couldn’t pay me to live in such a well-known house!
