Some things disappear with time, and the Lawnmower Man should probably follow suit with its on-location set. This 1992 film pulled a switcheroo on the audience, getting its title from a Steven King novel but a script from a movie called “The Cyber God.” I don’t know who they were trying to fool, but the audiences weren’t happy.

It became such a problem that Stephen King sued to have his name and the title removed from the film. They refused but did pay restitution in the form of $10k and all profits. The one thing that keeps it alive is the epic virtual reality montages that were incredibly advanced for the early ‘90s.
