This iconic scene from the 1984 version of Ghost Busters was shot at the Biltmore Hotel, located on Grand Ave in Los Angeles, California. Don’t worry! They didn’t destroy the ceiling and have it redone. They actually fabricated a false ceiling and painted in the damage. The amount of work that goes into this kind of thing is insane!

They also emptied all the furniture and replaced it with props. If you’ve ever wondered why movies cost so much, this is one of the reasons. This movie cost an estimated $30,000,000 to make back in the early ‘80s, equivalent to over $90,000,000 now!
