Mary I of England

Mary I of England, who reigned from 1553 to 1558, was known for her distinct physical features. She had inherited her father Henry VIII’s auburn hair, which was a striking shade of red. Her hair color was often considered a symbol of her Tudor lineage. Mary had a fair complexion and, like many of her contemporaries, used lead-based cosmetics to achieve a pale and fashionable look.

She was of average height for the time, standing at around 5 feet 6 inches (167 cm). Mary’s physical appearance played a role in her portrayal in the art and literature of her era. Her red hair and fair complexion were frequently depicted in portraits and contributed to her image as the first queen regnant of England.
