When it comes to calling people by the wrong name, some people can get very sensitive about the whole thing. Most of the time, when people get someone else’s name wrong, they don’t necessarily mean to… Surely, this intention should get some people off the hook when it comes to getting someone’s name wrong.

This thought process might work for some, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to work for Eddie here… As if this person was fired for calling their supervisor Edward instead of Eddie. Sure, people shouldn’t make assumptions without knowing the full story, but there was nothing malicious about this situation.
