There is no denying that when it comes to being a teenager, you have close to no idea about what rights you do and don’t have when it comes to the workforce. Employers think that they can take advantage of you and exploit you purely due to your age and willingness to please everyone.

As far as we’re concerned, there was nothing about this situation that made it ok for this person to be fired. Moving your hand out of reflex so that you don’t get bitten by an aggressive dog is a perfectly ok thing to do… At the time, she might not have known that her being fired was illegal, but at least she can warn others now.
