One Freebie Per Day
Who knew judges could give out “freebies” on a whim? According to this story, it’s true. This judge has a personal rule according to which he gives one freebie per day. That means he lets one defendant off the hook. In this case, he chose to let off the hook a guy who took full responsibility and decided to be completely honest about his actions.

Another defendant witnessed that and decided to take the same route of honesty, but he didn’t luck out; the judge had already given his freebie for the day. Tough luck! I guess it also depends on your charges; if you’re accused of murder, even if you cooperate fully and admit to everything you’ve done, I can’t imagine the judge would let you off that easily.
