Freaky Frodo
You might think that saying comments like the one in this story is a harmless action, but it can actually have serious consequences. In the United Kingdom, insulting individuals in the court or anyone involved in the case is actually considered contempt of court. Can you guess how long the jail sentence is?

It can net you two years in prison, or a fine – or both of these! Even so, it seems like it should be common sense not to call someone “Frodo.” Perhaps it was meant as a compliment, and the defendant was actually a huge Lord of the Rings fan. But I find that hard to believe!
