You might be thinking to yourself – what is it with attorneys asking the most utterly ridiculous questions?! Well, it’s actually part of a strategy that lawyers have in court. By asking simple and sometimes irrelevant questions, attorneys can help to prove a good strategy to the presiding judge and jury.

Later, the attorneys can use this to show that they’re making logical steps to reach the answer in order to convince the judge and jury of their argument. It’s a pretty systematic process, and you can’t blame them for trying. Plus, sometimes witnesses will fumble and say the wrong thing, ruining their credibility.
