Just what are the most popular reasons for people ending a marriage? There are a ton of them! At number one is infidelity, which goes without saying, while a lack of intimacy is often second. The third place goes to communication, or a lack of it, while money problems are the fourth most likely to cause a divorce.

At number five, we have some form of addiction, whether that is from legal or illegal substances. I wonder how many of these things the witness’s husband engaged in during their marriage – hopefully, it wasn’t too many! It’s also possible that “basic incompatibility,” which some couples report, could be the cause.
