#17: That’s Radish
Radishes aren’t one of the more popular veggies, and that’s a shame because we think this little guy deserves more appreciation. It has a slightly spicy zing, so it’s a phenomenal addition to salads. But if you’ve only ever eaten them raw, you may be surprised to learn that they are just as yummy cooked and retain their health benefits.

Not only are radishes powerful allies in reducing heart disease risk and lowering blood pressure, but they are rich in nitrates; nitrates are wonderful for improving your blood flow. They are also detoxifying, so they’re super healthy for your liver. But beware: eating too many radishes can cause gas. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
