#13: Mushrooms
Mushrooms may not be as magical as in Alice In Wonderland, where they can make you change size. However, they almost seem to transform themselves into different things when you eat them – sometimes they can be straight-up mushrooms, like in a salad; other times, they can be an incredible meat substitute, like a portobello mushroom burger.

These fun guys (see what we did there?) are a surprisingly low-calorie source of protein, so feel free to go to town on them. They also have a lot of fiber, which is excellent for gut health and digestion. And, they provide a lot of benefits in terms of brain health, so eating mushrooms is a smart move.
