Social Commentary
There is no denying that when it comes to a woman’s body, many people feel as though they have a right to comment on it, regardless of their connection to that specific person or people. These people can try as hard as they like to degrade the female body, but as long as they don’t have one, they should be exempt from talking about it or the experiences it may undergo. We want women to feel empowered by their bodies and by their choices and not to feel like someone else is making their decisions for them.

Back in 2012, a former Missouri politician stated that he believed terminating pregnancies after assault would not be necessary. Do you want to know the reasoning behind this comment? He stated that if it was a real case of assault, then the body would have the ability to shut itself down. Thanks, but no thanks for the opinion, because we’re pretty sure this has nothing to do with you, sir. We see this as a clever and satirical stance on a topic that is very sensitive and should in no way be commented on with such disregard.
