State Lines
Hold the phone, Minnesota! I knew you were home to some of the craziest birds in the Midwest, but I didn’t realize you had laws to match. In Minnesota, you cannot cross state lines with a bird on your head. There are birds of a feather, and even a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

But birds on your head? That’s a new one. I wonder if this law applies to all types of birds or just the rare and elusive state bird, the common loon. Perhaps they’re just really crazy about protecting wildlife. Stick to wearing your bird hats exclusively within state lines – maybe it’ll start a new fashion trend.
