Dirty Romeo

State officials in New Mexico have taken censorship to a whole new level! As a writer, it’s hard to imagine why anyone would want to censor such a famous work of literature. After all, Romeo and Juliet is a story about passionate love and tragedy – it’s not like it’s some kind of erotic novel.

Maybe the state officials are just trying to protect the innocent minds of their citizens, or maybe they just have something against the Bard himself. Either way, it’s a shame that the full version of Romeo and Juliet won’t be available to the people of New Mexico.
