First Amendment

Okay, let’s play a little game. Can you name one freedom protected by the first amendment? If you’re like me, you might be struggling. But according to this statistic, 2 out of 5 Americans can’t name a single one. So, don’t be too hard on yourself if you can’t remember; you’re definitely not alone!

We live in a country that values freedom of speech and expression, yet so many of us don’t even know what those freedoms are. It may be time to brush up on our civics knowledge and remember the principles that this country was founded on. It might inspire us to exercise our first amendment rights a little more often.
