It’s disheartening to think that some communities are more at risk of drowning than other groups of people.

And especially when it comes to children. It may be time to invest in more swimming lessons and water safety programs in these communities to help prevent these tragedies from happening. Regardless of race or ethnicity, everyone should have access to the knowledge and resources they need to stay safe in and around water.
