Tattoos Are Taboo

Tattoos are a creative way to express oneself, but in the eyes of the Hooters’ higher-ups, they are nothing more than an eyesore. That meant that tatted waitresses had to apply even more makeup than was already necessary. It seems like a really annoying step to add into your everyday make-up routine!

It was also important to reapply makeup if a tattoo began to show. At that point, it seems that the time it takes to conceal a piece of body art might take away from a worker’s ability to deliver quality and timely service to the customers. After all, it’s not like people with tattoos are less good workers!
