A Safety Hazard
Hooters’ uniforms are an overly monitored tool for the objectification of the company’s workers. But this story shows they were also a threat to those workers’ lives and well-being at times as well. It seems that not only were the uniforms uncomfortable, but they were also a hazard to the safety of the waitresses!

I can’t imagine the pain and injury that would result if one’s tights were set ablaze while they were still wearing them. I also hope that none of the Hooters waitresses got too close to the grill in the kitchen to find out. At least they weren’t allowed within a 10-foot radius of the grill! Which is definitely a smart policy. Or couldn’t they just get tights that are not flammable?
