Here’s another instance in which Hooters waitresses were not only overanalyzed based on the appearance of their bodies, but they were completely body shamed and fired. Again, management chose to follow a two-strike rule when letting allegedly overweight workers go.

The good news is that this practice of firing people based on their weight may be ending soon. As recently as 2019, there have been reports of Hooters employees suing the company over similar practices.
