Not Lost in Translation

If you’re going to work in a foreign country, never assume that others don’t know your native tongue. Doing so can help save you from embarrassing situations, such as being caught bad-mouthing your company and boss. This dude from Eastern Europe thought he was slick and started adding nasty comments in his language.

Google Translate can be a good tool to translate foreign languages into English, but in this case, it wasn’t necessary. One of the employees at the office understood the new guy’s language and conveyed the comments to management. Before the end of the week, the new guy was let go.
