#46: The Best Valentine

I’m a sucker for wonderful grandparents, especially when they show their grandkids that quirky is okay. Not every grandparent pulls this off, but this boy has found one that sees him for him, which is very important. It’s also just as remarkable that he recognizes that and is going out of his way to show her.

I’d like to think that my generation will be some of the best grandparents around, but so many of us have lost that communal parenting setup that used to be the norm. Since we pour so much of ourselves into parenting, I’m nervous to see what we do when the next generation has kids.
