#13: Boomer Logic

This post is exemplary of one of the main distinctions between boomers and millennials. We recognize that parents are parents, not babysitters, and the generation before us sees anyone who isn’t the mom as going above and beyond. Dads are parents, too! I hate to sound sour, but it’s a fact.

They don’t deserve a high five or an award if they take the kids grocery shopping. People judge moms so harshly when their kids are acting a fool in the supermarket, but every dad gets a pass. Some even blame moms when they see a kid with a dad acting out. “Oh, you poor man, trying to do something nice for your wife and dealing with this!” Sigh.
