In the land of sugar, spice, and all things nice, the OP’s kiddos took a detour down a more… investigative path. Who knew that gingerbread houses could double as a scene straight out of a cookie-crumb-filled crime drama? It seems that in this household, the traditional festive construction project comes with a side of mystery and intrigue.

Perhaps it’s just creative expression or maybe we’ve got some future detectives in the making. Either way, it looks like these gingerbread houses are more suited for a ‘whodoughnit’ than a winter wonderland.
