#8: The Mighty Hair

We often consider our hair to be our strength, and in a way, that is really the case. However, this is probably one fact that will make you say, “huh?” It’s well-known that human hair can catch on fire quite easily, but it’s actually indestructible. Beyond what you already know about human hair, it is rather resistant to many chemicals and other types of acids.

If you’ve ever dyed your hair and experienced the bleaching process, it really speaks to how durable human hair is. At times, it feels as though your hair should be burning off your head going through that dying process, but instead, it turns out to be a beautiful blonde (or ginger at times). We suppose Rapunzel was onto something with that long, strong hair that she used as a rope.
