#46: The Small Intestine is Not So Small
The name of our small intestine is quite deceiving. If you were to take your small intestine and stretch it out, you’ll learn that it is quite long! In fact, if you were to use the large and small intestine together, you’d be able to scale a 3-story building! That’s how long is “quite long.”

And yet, it’s normally coiled up within our bodies and naturally well-arranged, so that it doesn’t take up too much space in our bodies. Just keep in mind that the small intestine is actually surprisingly long when stretched out. I don’t know, this random fact can come in handy sometime, right?
