#41: Babies Have the Most Bones
It may be hard to wrap our head around little newborn babies having more bones in their bodies than a full-grown adult, but it is true. In this unique fact, we’re clearly not talking about the size of the bones, but rather the number of bones contained within their bodies. If you think about the explanation, it actually makes sense.

When a baby is born, they have over 300 bones in their body. Yet, as you may know, a full-grown adult only has 212 bones. When babies are born, some of their bones are not yet fused, which occurs with natural development. As the child grows, the bones continue to fuse and the number of bones increases since the bones connect and fuse together.
