#37: It’s Much Worse Than You Think
Did you know that the average household collects 40 pounds of dust every year? As if this wasn’t gross enough, you will be happy to know that dust is made of more things than you thought. That’s right, most of the dust you find in your house has old skin flakes in it. That’s why it’s important to remember to vacuum your house frequently, or soon you will have a whole human worth of dead skin just laying around.

You can vacuum it, sweep it, and wipe it off. But it goes without saying that your home will never be dust-free. Even if you’re not allergic to dust, the compounds found in dust can still affect your lungs and overall health. This is not to leave you without hope for a dust-free house, but a reminder that keeping our house clean can go a long way when it comes to our body’s health.
