#35: Different Emotions Equal Different Tears
There may be many reasons why our eyes tear and why we cry. We can cry when we are happy, surprised, scared or even angry. What is truly amazing is that our bodies recognize this, as well. You can put a drop of your tears during each of the emotions listed under a microscope and you’d find that they are made differently, depending on what emotion you were feeling at the time you cried.

This is to say that our tears of happiness look differently than our tears of sadness. This is not something you’d be able to tell as tears are streaming down someone’s face. Rather, you can only detect this difference under a microscope. Of course, you can probably tell why someone is crying even without having to check their tears under a microscope. Nonetheless, this is a fascinating fact!
