#24: Belly Button Beginnings

It’s wild to think about the time when we were all just hanging out in our moms’ bellies, isn’t it? Back then, before we had a chance to see the world, our belly buttons were our lifelines. They were like our own kitchen, delivering all the good stuff—oxygen, food, you name it—straight to us. It was just our old mouth.

Now, we rely on our mouths to do pretty much the same job. Sure, the thought of our belly buttons being so essential is kind of beautiful when you think about it. But let’s be real; it’s also a little weird to picture. It’s one of those facts about being human that’s amazing but a bit icky.
