#17: Stomach Acid Can Pierce
Our stomachs are full of acids that help in breaking down the foods that we eat throughout the day – that’s something you might be familiar with. These acids are important as they play an integral part of our “gut health” and ensuring the breaking-down process occurs without an issue.

Given the strength of the stomach acids to break down foods, it should come as no surprise that the acid in our stomach is actually strong enough to burn through human skin if it were to touch it. Stomach acid can also burn a hole inside of a piece of wood! Our bodies are also amazing in that despite how strong and powerful stomach acid is, the acid is stored in our bodies in a way that it cannot harm us or cause severe damage.
